  Notes	It is interesting to note all the daughters' first Christian names began with 'E'. Old Henry Ayers always claimed he did this in order that he would have to open all love letters addressed to "Miss E, Ayers" to find out to whom he should give them! Henry moved to Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire to be coachman at a country house "The Chase" now the Chase Hotel. Upon his retirement from "The Chase", Henry became licensee of The Noah's Ark, Tudorville, Ross on Wye, until 1921 when he was succeeded by his son Lionel. He lived on Howle Hill near Ross until his wife died a few years later and after that resided with his son Lionel and daughter-in-law Mabel until his death at Newent in 1937. Buried in Walford Churchyard.
